Huami Technology latest smartwatch is Amazfit Smart Watch 2, which was announced at an event in China. Along with it, company has also unveiled Avengers Limited Edition which houses a custom theme and band.
The wearbale sports a MicroCrystalline Zirconium Ceramic Frame which houses a 1.39-inch AMOLED touch display with 454 x 454 pixels resolution and 326ppi pixel density. The screen has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection as well for protection against scratches.
The Amazfit Smart Watch 2 specs include 1.1GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2500 processor which is paired with 512MB LPDDR3 RAM and 4GB eMMC storage space. There is a 420 mAh Li-Ion Polymer battery which is claimed to offer up to 28 hours of battery back up on 4G.
The smartwatch is compatible with most smartphones running on Android 4.4 or iOS 10.0 or above. It runs on AMAZFIT OS and can handle sports activities and Sleep tracking. The device is also IP68 rated for water and dust resistance.
The Amazfit Smart Watch 2 features in BioTracker PPG Sensor (low power), ECG (only in Amazfit Smartch 2 ECG Edition), Ambient Light Sensor, Geomagnetic sensor and Accelerometer.
In terms of connectivity there is 4G VoLTE support using eSIM, Wi-FI 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth V4.2 LE, NFC and GPS/GLONASS/BDS. There is a speaker and Microphone as well for taking calls.
The Amazfit Smart Watch 2 price is 999 Yuan (US$ 144 / Rs. 10,020 approx.) for base model. It goes up to 1299 Yuan (US$ 187 / Rs. 13,030 approx.) for ECG Edition. The premium Amazfit Smartwatch 2 Avengers Limited edition costs 1499 Yuan (US$ 215 / Rs. 15,040 approx.)
