ARCHOS has unveiled world’s first Android Powered scooter called Cite Connect. It not only offers 3G Connectivity but also comes with all smartphone functionality.
The electric scooter measures 1000 x 405 x 920 mm when it is unfolded (1000 x 405 x 235 mm when folded) and weighs about 13 Kg. The scooter is splash proof and is designed and assembled in France.
At the dashboard, ARCHOS Cite Connect features in 5-inch IPS Display which offers 350 nits brightness and houses Corning Gorilla Glass protection as well. Other specifications include quad-core processor, 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage space.
The scooter comes with reel lock which is integrated into chassis. It can be controlled by an application installed on the dashboard and can be shared remotely using a dedicated applications. The dashboard is powered by Android 8.0 Oreo OS. Wi-Fi and GPS connectivity is also present.
There is a 36V battery which claims to offer about 25 Kilometers in urban areas. The battery life can be further enhanced by 15% with its on-board energy recovery system (automatically recharges battery with each break). Battery is chargeable via docking station and takes up to 2 to 3 hours..
The ARCHOS Citee Connect price is set at €499.99 (US$ 615 / Rs. 39950 approx.) and will go on sale in Summer 2018. The electric scooter will be showcased at MWC 2018 in Barcelona next week.
