Along with Honor Play, company has also announced Honor 9i 2018 smartphone in China. It comes with a notch and is powered by Android 8.0 Oreo with EMUI 8.0 on top.
The handset comes with hybrid dual SIM slots, both nano slots with one doubling up for MicroSD card. There is a rear facing fingerprint sensor for added security. Company has promised to bring GPU Turbo graphics processing acceleration technology to the smartphone via OTA update (by July 30th).
The Honor 9i 2018 specs include 5.84-inch 2.5D curved glass display with 2280 x 1080 pixels resolution, 19:9 aspect ratio and multi-touch support. It has an octa-core (2.36GHz A53 x 4 + 1.7GHz A53 x 4) Kirin 659 SoC with Mali-T830 MP2 GPU.
The cell phone features in 4GB RAM with 64GB / 128GB storage options. The device also allows further expansion up to 256GB using MicroSD card, but doing so, you need to sacrifice a SIM slot. There is a 3000 mAh (typical) / 2900 mAh (minimum) battery.
The Honor 9i (2018) features in 13MP + 2MP dual rear cameras with LED Flash. At the front side is 16MP primary shooter that takes quality selfies. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotsopt, Bluetooth V4.2, GPS/GLONASS, FM Radio and 3.5mm Audio Jack
The Honor 9i 2018 64GB price goes at 1399 Yuan (US$ 218 / Rs. 14,640 approx.) while the 9i 2018 128GB model costs 1699 Yuan (US$ 265 / Rs. 17,780 approx.). The hands comes in Black, Green, Purple and Blue colors and is already up for order in China.
