Huawei has officially unveiled its new P50 Series smartphones in China. The lineup includes vanilla Huawei P50, Huawei P50 Pro Snapdragon 888 version and Huawei P50 Pro Kirin 9000 model. Notably, all of these lack 5G and supports dual 4G VoLTE only.
All the models offer dual SIM connectivity. These are powered by HarmonyOS 2 out of the box. They come with Fingerprint sensor for biometrics and has NFC support for making contact-less payments. They also offer IP68 water and dust resistant rating.
The Huawei P50 feature a 6.5-inch OLED display with 2700 x 1224 pixels resolution. Its screen delivers DCI-P3 colors, up to 90Hz refresh rate and 300Hz touch sampling rate. It has Snapdragon 888 SoC inside with 8GB RAM.
The P50 is offered in 128GB and 256GB storage options. The handset does allow further expansion using NM card. For selfies, there is a 13MP front ultra-wide snapper. At the back side are triple cameras making up of 50MP main, 13MP ultra-wide and 12MP lenses. It supports up to 50X digital zoom. A 4100mAh battery is included with 66W fast charging support.
The Huawei P50 Pro specs include a slightly larger 6.6-inch OLED screen with 2700 x 1225 pixels resolution. It has 450ppi pixel density and offers 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone has two models – one with Snapdragon 888 SoC and other with Kirin 9000 4G SoC.
The P50 Pro has options of 8GB RAM with 128GB / 256GB / 512GB storage space. There is a premium 12GB RAM variant with 512GB of storage as well. NM card is support for further expansion. The Pro variant houses quad-rear cameras. These include 50 (main) + 40MP (main, B&W) + 13MP (ultra-wide) + 64MP (telephoto) lenses with LED Flash. It has a slightly larger 4360mAH battery with 66W fast charging and wireless charging support.

The Huawei P50 8GB/128GB model is priced at CNY 4,500 ($700/€590) while its 8GB/256GB variant costs CNY 5,000 ($775/€650). It will arrive in Chinese markets in September.

The Huawei P50 Pro SD888/8GB/128GB model costs 6,000 Yuan ($930/€780). The P50 Pro 8GB/256GB price is set at 6500 Yuan ($1006/€847) while its 8GB/512GB version has price-tag of 7500 Yuan ($1161/€977). All of these models will start shipping from August 12th. The 12GB/512GB variant is priced at 8000 Yuan ($1,240/€1,040). It will go on sale in September.
