Lenovo has just announced its latest Z series smartphone called Lenovo Z5. It has 2.5D curved glass back with Gorilla glass protection. It has fingerprint coating and sports 6-sereis aluminum metal frame.
The smartphone measures 153 x 75.67 x 7.85 mm and weighs 165 grams. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo OS with ZUI 3.9 on top. The OS is upgradable to Android P with ZUI 4.0 UI.
The Lenovo Z5 specs include 6.2-inch 2.5D curved glass display with 2246 x 1080 pixels resolution 90% screen-to-body ratio and 19:9 aspect ratio. It has DCI-P3 color gamut, 500 nits brightness and 1500:1 contrast ratio. Corning Gorilla glass protection adds further durability.
Under the hood is 1.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 636 Mobile Platform with Adreno 509 GPU. The mobile features in 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB / 128GB storage options. There is MicroSD card support (via Hybrid Dual SIM slots) for further expansion up to 256GB.
The Lenovo Z5 features in 16MP (F/2.0, PDAF) + 8MP dual rear (depth info) cameras with LED Flash. At the front side is an 8MP shooter with F/2.0 Aperture. The hardware is powered by 3300 mAh battery with fast charging support.
Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.0, GPS/GLONASS, USB Type-C and 3.5mm Audio Jack.
The Lenovo Z5 price starts at 1299 Yuan (US$ 202 / Rs. 13,630 approx.) for 64GB storage model (Black color), 1399 Yuan for (US$ 218 / Rs. 14,670 approx.) for 64GB Indigo Blue color and 1799 Yuan (US$ 280 / Rs. 18,870 approx.) for 128GB. The handset will go on sale in China from June 12th. It is up for pre-order.
