Oculus, a known VR Headset maker has introduced Oculus Go, its latest standalone VR Headset. It was announced at Connect developer conference in San Jose, California.
It is specially designed to bring more freedom and accessibility to VR. The headset will be comfortable to wear, lightweight, easy-to-use and offers top notch visual clarity. The fabric on facial interface is soft and breathable.
The Oculus Go does not require a smartphone to work. It has LCD screen that offers wide FOV with reduced glares, thanks to its next-generation lenses. These Displays offer 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution.
The headset also ships with spatial audio. It has built-in speakers and includes a dedicated 3.5mm headphone jack as well for private listening.
Moreover, Gear VR and Oculus Go apps are binary compatible and they share the same controller input set. The Oculus Go ships with a controller, which includes a touchpad and a trigger button.
The Oculus Go VR Headset will retail for US$ 199 and will roll out in early 2018.
