Realme has officially launched its latest mid-range smartphone called Realme U1. It company’s first device under its U Series.
The Realme U1 is also world’s first smartphone to be powered by octa-core (2.1GHz A73 x 4 + 2GHz A53 x 4) MediaTek Helio P70 processor and includes ARM Mali-G72 MP3 900MHz GPU.
The cell phone has dimensions of 157 x 74 x 8 mm and weighs 168 grams. It has shiny rear side with diffraction grading. It uses 13 layers of Laminated Technology called Light Pillar Design. There is a rear facing fingerprint sensor for fast unlocking.
The Realme U1 specs include 6.3-inch IPS display with 2350 x 1080 pixels resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 450nits brightness, 1500:1 contrast ratio and multi-touch support. It has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection as well for scratch resistance. The device boasts an impressive 90.5% screen-to-body ratio.
The U1 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo based Color OS 5.2. It has 3500 mAh battery which powers the hardware. A 25MP shooter is placed at the front (inside dew drop notch). It has F/2.0 Aperture, Sony IMX576 sensor, 4-in-1 pixel binning and AI Beautification (scans 296 facial points).
At the back side is 13MP primary rear camera with F/2.2 Aperture and secondary 2MP shooter with F/2.4 Aperture and LED Flash. Connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V4.2, GPS, FM Radio and 3.5mm Audio Jack are supported.
The Realme U1 price starts at Rs. 11,999 for 3GB RAM /32GB storage model and goes up to Rs. 14,499 for 4GB RAM / 64GB storage variant. The mobile will come in Ambitious Black, Fiery Gold and Brave Blue colors.
