Xiaomi’s Redmi brand has launched Redmi K20 smartphone in India. It was first announced in China back in May.
Packed with 7th Generation optical in-display fingerprint sensor, the Redmi K20 features in 3D Glass back with flame pattern and Aura Prime design. It comes in Blue and Red shades while the Kevlar gradient texture is seen in Black variant.
The phone has dimensions of 156.7 x 74.3 x 8.8 mm and weighs 191 grams. Its Dual Nano SIM slots allows dual 4G VoLTE. It runs on MIUI 10 based on Android 9.0 Pie OS. Not to mention its P2i Splash proof coating as an added bonus.
The Redmi K20 flaunts a 6.39-inch AMOLED HDR display with 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 103.8% NTSC color gamut. The screen delivers DCI-P3 color gamut, 600nits (HBM) / 430nits (typical) brightness. There is a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection at the front and back.
An octa-core Snapdragon 730 Mobile Platform powers the core with Adreno 618 GPU. You get K20 in 6GB LPDDR4X RAM with 64GB / 128GB (UFS2.1) storage options. Sadly, ROM is non expandable.
The optics include triple camera setup at the back with LED Flash. It consists of 48MP (main, 1/2″ Sony IMX582 sensor, F/1.75 Aperture, 6P lens, 0.8μm pixel size) primary rear camera, an 8MP (Telephoto, 1/4″ Sensor size, F/2.4 Aperture, 1.12μm pixel size, 2X loss-less Zoom) and a 13MP (124.8-degree Ultra-wide angle, F/2.4 Aperture, 1/3″ Sensor size, 4K Video) shooters.
At the front side is 20MP camera with F/2.2 Aperture and 0.8μ pixel size. A 4000 mAh (typical) / 3900 mAh (Minimum) battery powers the hardware. 18W fast charging is also supported.
Connectivity options like Wi-FI 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C, NFC, GPS (Dual Band L1+L2)/GLONASS and 3.5mm Audio Jack. It has Hi-Fi audio chip as well.
The Redmi K20 6GB/64GB variant price is Rs. 21,999 while the K20 6GB/128GB model costs Rs. 23,999. It comes in Carbon Black, Glacier Blue and Flame Red colors. It will go on sale from July 22 at Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi Home stores.
