Samsung had acquired Harman International back in March 2017 and since then, both companies have have been collaborating on mobile products.
Today, Samsung has released two new co-branded premium soundbars – the HW-N850 and HW-N950. Both of them feature Samsung’s and Harman Kardon’s logos to represent their new partnership.
The HW-N850 and HW-N950 both supports DTS’ proprietary DTS:X technology as well as Dolby Atmos for immersive and rich 3D sound. They have up and side-firing speakers move the sound waves naturally around the listeners.
The HW-N950 features in a main unit, four speakers and two wireless surround sound speakers. It has 7.1.4 channels which are also the largest number of channels available in a soundbar. Moreover, there is a built-in wireless subwoofer and rear wireless kit for premium audio.
The HW-N850 on the other hand features in 5.1.2 channel and includes main unit speaker and woofer. In short, it is more simplified version of HW-N950.
The HW-N850 price is set at US$ 1,199.99 (Rs. 84,260 approx.) while the premium HW-N950 price goes at US$ 1,699.99 (Rs. 1,12,350 approx.). Both of them will be available starting August 20th.
