Sony has announced Xperia X Compact along with Xperia XZ at IFA 2016 Berlin. It packs in a smaller 4.6-Inch Triluminos display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. The screen has Corning Gorilla Glass protection as well for scratch resistance.
It has Single nano SIM slots, supports 4G LTE and houses finger print sensor on power button. The phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box.
The Sony Xperia X Compact specs include Hexa-Core Snapdragon 650 64-bit SoC with Android 510 GPU. It has 3GB RAM, 32GB storage space and supports up to 256GB microSD cards for further expansion.
It has the same 23MP main snapper on the back with Exmor RS Sensor, 1/2.3-inch sensor size, F/2.0 lens, 5-axis stabilization, supports predictive hybrid AF. Unlike the Xperia XZ, it records 1080p videos.
Sony has managed to include a 5MP secondary camera on the front. It has 1/3.06-Inch Exmor RS sensor, 22mm F/2.0 wide-angle-lens and records 1080p videos.
The Smartphone has dimensions of 129 x 65 x 9.5 mm and weighs 135 grams. It also comes bundled with DSEE HX, LDAC and allows Digital Noise Cancelling. The hardware is powered by 2700 mAh battery with Qnovo’s Adaptive Charging Technology.
Connectivity wise, it supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V4.2, GPS/GLONASS, USB Type-C and NFC.
The Sony Xperia X Compact release date is set for October 2016. It comes in Universe Black, White and Mist Blue colors. Pricing details were not revealed.
