Sony has apparently cancelled the Xperia C and Xperia M series phones and may use its latest Xperia X series to launch new smartphones. According to reports, rumored Xperia C6 Ultra could be called the Xperia X Ultra.
Sony mobile presentation shows 3 chapters where chapter 1 (2010 – 2012) being for Open OS for web communication. The chapter 2 (2013 – 2015) marks for Best of Sony’s Z series, known for its Camera and AV entertainment. The current chapter 3 (2016 – 2018) marks the “Xperia X” series for new communication, including smart products, smartphones & IoT and Cloud. Sony also plans to use its new “X” logo for all the promotion in TV ads and prints.
If you are unaware, Sony has already confirmed the end of Xperia Z series. Now, the slides suggests a new beginning of Xperia X brand. Company has already announced Xperia X, its current flagship the X Performance and XA mobiles.
