As expected, Sony has just announce its latest mid-range smartphones at MWC 2017 called Xperia XA1 and XA1 Ultra.
Both of them feature nearly identical specifications, apart from few changes. For starters, they run on Android 7.0 Nougat OS out of the box.
The XA1 measures 145 x 67 x 8 mm and weighs 143 grams. The XA1 Ultra has dimensions of 165 x 79 x 8.1 mm and weighs 188 grams.
Both of them are powered by 2.3GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P20 processor (MT6757) coupled with Mali-T880 MP2 GPU. They have 23MP rear camera with 1/2.3-inch Exmor RS sensor, 24mm wide angle lens and F/2.0 Aperture.
The Xperia XA1 features in an 8MP selfie camera with 1/4.-inch Exmor R sensor. The XA Ultra sports 16MP selfie camera with 1/2.6-Inch Exmor RS sensor, Flash and Optical image stabilization.
The Xperia XA1 specs include 5-Inch display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution, 294ppi pixel density and 70.87% screen-to-body ratio. It has 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage ROM and allows further expansion using MicroSD card. It is packs in 2300 mAh battery.
The Xperia XA1 Ultra Features in a larger 6-Inch display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. The screen offers 367ppi pixel density and sports 76.10% screen-to-body ratio. It has 4GB RAM, 64GB expandable storage space and houses a larger 2700 mAh battery.
Connectivity options are the same, which include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V4.2, GPS/A-GPS, MicroUSB V2.0, 3.5mm Audio jack etc.
The Sony Xperia XA1 will be priced at $299.99. Company did not reveal pricing of XA1 Ultra variant. Both the phones come in White, Black and Gold color options.
