Sony has announced yet announced yet another flagship phone at MWC 2017 called Xperia XZ Premium.
It has omnibalance design with rounded off sides. It has glass on front and back and sports metal frame. It has IP68 ratign for dust and water resistance.
It has fingerprint sensor embedded into wake button (on the side). Volume rockers have been placed just above the power key. The handset measures 156 x 77 x 7.9 mm and weighs 195 grams.
The Sony Xperia XZ Premium specs include 5.5-Inch IPS LCD Display with 2160 x 3840 pixels resolution. It has 801ppi pixel density, 69.48% screen-to-body radio and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 scratch resistant glass for added durability.
Under the hood is a 2.45GHz octa-core (Kyro 280 + Cortex-A53) Snapdragon 835 MSM8998 processor with Adreno 540 GPU. It has 4GB RAM, 64GB storage ROM and allows further expansion up to 256GB as well.
The handset features in 19MP main camera on the back with 1/2.3-inch EXMOR R sensor, 5-axis stabilization, Hyrbid Auto Focus, PDAF, OIS, Anti-distortion shutter and 4K video recording. It can also record ultra-slow motion videos at 960 FPS. On the front side is a 13MP snapper equipped with wide-angle lens.
The hardware inside is powered by 3230 mAh battery. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, DLNA, Bluetooth V4.2, GPS/A-GPS/GLONASS, etc.
The smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS out of the box. It has front firing Stereo speakers that delivers optimum audio experience.
The Sony Xperia XZ Premium will reach markets in Spring 2017. Company did not reveal pricing details but do expect it to be around $800. It will be available in Deep Sea Black and Luminous Chrome color options.
