Sony has just announced its latest Xperia smartphones at MWC 2018 event called Xperia XZ2 and Xperia XZ2 Compact. They comes in Single / Dual SIM variants and runs on Android 8.0 Oreo OS.
The Xperia XZ2 measures 153 x 72 x 11.1 mm and weighs 198 grams while the Xperia XZ2 Compact has dimensions of 135 x 65 x 12.1 mm and weighs 168 grams. They have IP65/68 rating for water and dust resistance. These devices also sports a fingerprint sensor which is placed at the back. It has front facing stereo speakers with S-Force Front Surround.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 specs include 5.7-inch Triluminos HDR display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It offers 2160 x 1080 pixels resolution and supports multi-touch. It has 3D glass body and sports Corning Gorilla Glass 5 at the back.
These cellphones gets processing power from octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform with Adreno 630 GPU. It is mated with 4GB RAM, 64GB internal memory and allows further expansion up to 400GB using MicroSD card.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 features in 3180 mAh battery while the Xperia XZ2 Compact houses a smaller 2870 mAh battery. These battries also support Qnovo Adaptive Charging technology, Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 and Qi Wireless charging. Other features include USB Type-C audio, DSEE HX and LDAC.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 comes in Liquid black, Liquid Silver, Ash Pink and Deep green colors. The Xperia XZ2 Compact comes in White, Silver, Black, Coral Pink and Moss Green colors. They will start rolling out from March 2018. Pricing details were not revealed.
