Sony’s upcoming Xperia smartphones, the Xperia XZ2 and Xperia XZ2 Compact are already in the works. Now, alleged specifications of both Android phones have been leaked.
According to reports from Swedroid.se, a popular Scandinavian blog, Both handsets will feature in HDR displays with 18:9 aspect ratio. Considering recent trend, both of these mobiles should have very slim bezels.
The Xperia XZ2 is believed to have 5.8-inch screen-size while the Xperia XZ2 Compact could come with 5-inch screen (FHD+ resolution) but will have a size similar to its previous 4.6-inch models. Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection will also make way for scratch resistance.
These handsets are expected with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and paired with 4GB RAM. There is 64GB internal memory which should be expandable using MicroSD card.
The Source also revealed that Fingerprint sensor has been moved at the back side (previous modes had it on power button). There is will be no 3.5mm Audio Jack in these models. Rumor has it that apparently, there is a special music feature that uses vibrations of the phones. Details are scarce though.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 is expected to be priced at SEK 7990 (£706, €799, $987) while the Xperia XZ2 Compact might cost around SEK 5990 (£529, €599, $740). These handsets are expected to go on sale from March 6th, 2018.
