Sony is working on a new compact smartphone bearing model number G8441, which is allegedly called Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact. The handset has made its way at GeekBench and AnTuTu revealing some specifications.
The Sony G8441, for starters is a Snapdragon 835 powered smartphone with Adreno 540 GPU for graphics. It has 720p display (4.6-inch expected) and come with 4GB RAM and 32GB ROM.
The listing also reveals 8MP front and 8MP rear cameras. Rumor has it that Xperia XZ1 Compact could be powered by 2800 mAh battery. On more thing notable is that Sony G8441 smartphone runs on Android 8.0 OS out of the box.
This particular handset has also made its way at GeekBench. It again confirms presence of Snapdragon 835 SoC (MSM8998), 4GB RAM and Android 8.0 OS. The cell phone managed to score 1834 points on single core and 6232 points at multi-cores.
The Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact is expected to be announced at Sony Pre-IFA 2017 launch event, which is scheduled on August 31, 2017.
