Xiaomi Mi 9 SE with SD712 SoC unveiled

Xiaomi at an event in China unveiled its Mi 9 flagship smartphone. Along with it, company has also introduced Xiaomi Mi 9 SE smartphone in China.
The smartphone has dimensions of 147.5 x 70.5 x 7.4 mm and weighs 155 grams. It comes with infrared sensor and an in-display fingerprint sensor. There is a gradient holographic rainbow spectrum surface at the back.
The mobile runs on Android 9.0 Pie with MIUI 10 on top. It has dual SIM slots and supports dual 4G VoLTE. It is equipped with 3070 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
The Xiaomi Mi 9 SE specs include 5.97-inch multi-touch Super AMOLED display with 2280 x 1080 pixels resolution, 19:9 aspect ratio, 600nits brightness, 103.8% NTSC color gamut and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
Under the hood is an octa-core (2.3GHzz Kryo 360 x 2 + 1.7GHz Kryo 360 x 6) Snapdragon 712 mobile platform with Adreno 616 GPU. It is backed by 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and has 64GB / 128GB (UFS 2.1) storage options.
The Xiaomi MI9 SE features in 48MP primary rear camera with LED Flash, 1/2.0-inch Sony IMX586 sensor, 0.8um pixel size and F/1.75 Aperture. There is a secondary 8MP shooter with telephoto lens with 1.12um pixel size and F/2.4 Aperture. Third rear camera is of 13MP with ultra-wide angle lens, 1.12um pixel size and F/2.4 Aperture. For selfies there is a 20MP front camera with F/2.0 Aperture and 0.9um pixel size.
Connectivity wise, it has Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual band (2.4/5GHz), 2×2 MU-MIMO, Bluetooth V5.0, USB Type-C, NFC and GPS/GLONASS/Beidou.
The Xiaomi Mi 9 SE 6GB/64GB variant costs 1999 Yuan (US$ 297 / Rs. 21,150 approx.) while the Mi 9 SE 6GB/128GB storage model carries price tag of 2299 Yuan (US$ 340 / Rs. 24,330 approx.). The handset comes in Dark Grey, Blue and Violet colors. It will go on sale in China from March 1st.
