Xiaomi has announced its Mi VR headset in China with zipper design. It ensures that phone remains intact and doesn’t fall. The VR Headset measures 201 x 107 x 91 mm and weighs about 208.7 grams.
The Mi VR supports phones with display sizes ranging from 4.5-Inch to 5.7-Inches. It has dual opening at the front side for air ventilation and allows users to adjust / fine-tune phone (in case it moves). Internal makes up of non-slip pads that prevents wearer from accidently pressing buttons.
It is made using Lycra fabric (nylon + spandex) that is light weight and skin-friendly. It has metal thread button at the top and is equipped with Anti Glare lens inside. It has 0.01mm aspherical curvature (1/7 the diameter of root hair).
It has dedicated VR App the brings Panaromic videos, VR Games, 3D Movies and Apps designed for the headset. The Graffiti and decorative design has several personalized colour options as well.
Xiaomi is looking for beta-testers for the Mi VR headset in China. Selected users can get the headset for just 1 Yuan. Official pricing and release dates are not known. Rumors in tech world suggest price-tag of 49 Yuan (US$ 7).
