`Xiaomi has announced a new AIoT router called Xiaomi Router AX6000. It was announced along with Xiaomi Mi 11 smartphone.
The Xiaomi AIoT Router AX6000 has measurements of 408 x 177 x 134 mm. It has one AIoT antenna and 6 external omidirectional antennas for easy connectivity. It also works with Xiaomi Smart devices (requires App).
For optimum heat dissipation, Xiaomi has included holes on top, sides and bottom of the router. This ensures routing frequency reduction and device disconnection due to over heating. There are seven LED indicators as well.
The router features in Qualcomm IPQ5018 processor coupled with 1GHz NPU. It has 512MB RAM and 256MB ROM. It has MU-MIMO technology which allows multiple antennas on router to cater multiple devices simultaneously. The router also opens possibility to real time monitor or add parent control using Mi Wi-Fi App.
The Xiaomi Router AX6000 supports IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, IEE 802.3/3u/3ab protocols and delivers 574Mbps 802.11ax 2×2 (2.4GHz) and 4804Mbps 802.11ax Wi-Fi 4×4 160MHz 5GHz.
The router is powerful enough to handle up to 248 devices. It has WPA3 next gen Wi-Fi security standard. In terms of ports, it has two LAN Pors (10/100/1000M Auto MDI/MDIX), one WAN/LAN port (10/100/100M) and one adaptive WAN/LAN (10/100/1000/2500M).
The Xiaomi AIoT Router AX6000 price is 599 Yuan ($91 / Rs 6730 approx.). It is already up for pre-order in China and will start selling from January 8th, 2021. [source]
