YU has just launched its latest mobile called the YUNICORN. It measures 153.3 x 75.4 x 8.15 mm and weighs 172 grams. It has a slim metal frame with brushed aluminium back and houses a fingerprint sensor (unlocks in just 0.2 seconds) on the home button.
The phone houses 5.5-Inch 2.5D curved glass display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and comes with 450 cd/m2 brightness, 1000:1 contrast ratio and supports multi-touch as well.
It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and includes Around YU 2.0 integrated discovery platform. It also has YU Wallet that allows bill payments, recharges etc. It has a special monochrome mode as well.
The YU YUNICORN Specs include 1.8GHz Octa Core MediaTek Helio P10 MT6755 processor with Mali-T860 GPU. Inside is 4GB RAM, 32GB on-board storage ROM and is further expandable up to 128GB using MicroSD Card.
The mobile sports Hybrid Dual SIM slots (nano + nano / microSD) and supports 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+ networks. It also has DTS Audio for optimum sound. Inside is 4000 mAh battery and is non removable.
Phone’s camera features include 13MP primary snapper with F/2.2 Aperture, 5P Lens, PDAF, EIS, Slow Motion, Time Lapse and dual-tone LED Flash. On the front is secondary 5MP camera with F/2.0 Aperture and 4P lens.
Connectivity options include 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V4.1, MicroUSB V2.0, GPS, FM Radio, 3.5mm Audio Jack etc. The smartphone also includes Gravity Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Light Sensor and Accelerometer.
The YU YUNICORN is priced at US$ 193 (Rs. 12,999 in India) and will be available online exclusively from Flipkart via flash sales. Price of the phone will increase to Rs. 13,999 after its first sale. Registrations for the phone has already started and its first sale is slated for June 7, 2016. The phone comes Rush Silver, Graphite and limited edition Rush Gold colour options.
